The intention of this letter is to give my thanks to all of those who were
involved in The slow and difficult process of my father's recovery. To all of
those who stuck by his side and were willing to do more for him than he was
willing to do for himself. During his time of sickness, he was an entirely
different person. He wasn't The same ecstatic person that everyone wanted
to constantly be around. In fact he was quite The opposite and his
depression and negative vibe was becoming contagious. It was time for a
change, a positive change. That's when ARC took him under its wing and
guided him through recovery. They directed him down a road that he was
unfamiliar with and shared with him a vision of what it would be like at The
end of it. However, The road wasn't easy to travel. It was as uphill battle,
but ARC was there with him every excruciating step of The way. Now that
he has taken those 12 massive steps and has made it to The end, he has
enough strength and experience to guide others through The same road. I am
very pleased that everyone who accompanied him through The same
struggle now sees The man that he really is and can sher The memories of
who he was while he was sick. He has become twice The man he used to be
and from all of us who know and love him dearly, we would like to say
thank you. Your efforts will live vicariously though him by him doing The
same for others.

My story is very similar to the stories of people in the grip of addiction. It
was a struggling battle and no hope to find a way out for    many years.
The unconditional Love and Hope that I received at ARC  made me feel
safe and not alone anymore.  Most importantly ARC showed me the way
and gave me the tools of recovery, the 12 step program. Today I am not in
jail, I am not in a institution and   I am alive thanks to the program and
ARC. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Today my life is not
comparable to what I had. Today I don't have   to pass out every night, I
don't have to smell like alcohol. Today I don't have to hate and be hated
but most of all I don't have to see the tears on my mothers face whom I
love dearly and hurt so much.Today I am a respected person in  society,I
have a job, I have my family back. I love them and they love me but most
importantly I see  laughter on my mothers face. This is a miracle, the gift
of the program.  Thanks for everything.
