Testing of gas-turbine combustion systems, components and fuels under elevated temperature and pressure; combustion and emissions characterisation for hydrogen, ammonia and conventional fuels; fuel-spray and flame diagnostics; gas mixing and combustion-rig testing.
Equipment
High-pressure optical combustor, high-pressure generic swirl burner, RQL combustor, high-pressure counterflow burner, optical atmospheric furnace and large-scale gas mixing facility; current operator reports maximum combustion air flow below 5 kg/s, combustion pressure below 1.6 MPa and combustion-air preheat below 900 K; laser diagnostics include LDA, PIV, PLIF, PDA and Schlieren imaging.
