High-speed eMachine and inverter development/validation, power-electronics and electrified-propulsion testing, EMC development and verification testing, and full-system/subsystem powertrain testing. The current EMC page states the chamber is suitable for external customer EMC testing.
Equipment
144 m³ semi-anechoic EMC chamber; 6 m × 6 m × 4 m external dimensions; 4.75 m × 4.75 m internal absorber-tip dimensions; 18 GHz absorber; 500 kg/m² floor loading; 1,000 V/400 A DC supply. A 600 kW high-speed eMachine dyno with up to 24,000 rpm is published for the second UK facility; the reviewed page does not assign that dyno to this site.
Standards
EMC chamber built to CISPR 25, conforms with BS EN 50147 and lists IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO TR 10605 compliance; no accreditation asserted.
