Combined aerodynamic and aeroacoustic testing of aerofoils, bluff bodies, boundary layers, propellers and rotating components; near/far-field noise, aerodynamic loads and laser flow measurements.
Equipment
Anechoic chamber approximately 7 m x 4.5 m x 3.5 m, anechoic down to 160 Hz; nozzle options up to 0.6 m x 0.2 m and 100 m/s; 8–120 m/s free-stream range; <0.1% turbulence; multi-array microphones, beamforming, PIV, hotwire/hotfilm and pressure scanners.
